Frequently asked questions
Sender
Find your tracking number on:
  • Your receipt received at an NZ Post store.
  • The removable sticker from your sending ticket.
  • The barcode on your bag.
  • If you purchased a label using the Send a parcel tool, we've added your parcel's tracking number to the tracking tool.
Receiver
Find your tracking number on your order confirmation email or invoice received from the sender.
We're not able to find your item without a tracking number as parcels can't be tracked by the receiver's name, address or phone number.
You can:
  • Ask the parcel's sender to provide the tracking number again.
  • If you posted your item at an NZ Post store, you may find your tracking number on your receipt.
  • The barcode on your bag.
  • If you purchased a label using the Send a parcel tool, we've added your parcel's tracking number to the tracking tool.
We aren't able to find your letter if you used stamps rather than a tracked service, like Courier or Economy.
A tracking number is very important to find your item as it can't be tracked by the receiver's name, address or phone number.
