How it works
1. Pick a location
Find a Collect my parcel location near you using Find NZ Post and filter by 'Parcel collect'.
2. Create a unique address
Add your preferred Collect my parcel location to your My NZ Post account under 'Manage addresses'.
3. Use your unique address
Use your address for deliveries and at checkout, just make sure the sender ships with NZ Post.
4. Collect it
We’ll email you when your parcel’s ready to collect. You’ll have 10 days to collect it – just show your email and ID.

Redirect a parcel to a Collect my parcel location
Won't be home to sign for your parcel in transit? Redirect it to a Collect my parcel location near your original delivery address. Simply sign into the tracking tool, select Redirect, enter your original delivery address and choose a Collect my parcel location.
You can send your parcel to a Collect my parcel location as long as the parcel:
- Is not in the final stage of its journey, and showing a parcel scan like 'Handover', 'Transfer', 'Out for delivery', or 'Delivery attempted'.
- Is not larger than 50cm x 40cm x 30cm or weighs more than 15kg.
- Is not dangerous, or contains perishables or restricted items (e.g. alcohol or tobacco).
Frequently asked questions
There are hundreds of Collect my parcel locations around New Zealand. Locations include participating NZ Post stores and Woolworths stores. To find one near you, Find NZ Post and filter by ‘Parcel collect'.
Collect my parcel locations can only be used for parcels being delivered by NZ Post.
If the courier company can’t deliver your parcel, they will get in touch with you to arrange a different delivery address.
You'll receive an email when your parcel is ready to collect and you’ll have 10 days from the date of the email to pick it up.
If you, or someone else, is picking up the parcel, bring the notification email (printed or on your phone) and photo identification.
Acceptable forms of ID are:
- New Zealand passport
- New Zealand driver license
- Overseas passport
- Kiwi Access card (formerly HANZ 18+ card)
- New Zealand Certificate of Identity (issued under the Passports Act).
It's important to address your Collect your parcel items in the correct format, like this:

Make sure you include:
- your Collect my parcel number in the first line after your name, so we can email you when your parcel is ready for collection.
- the word ‘COLLECTION’ before the participating location's name so they know it's for a Collect my parcel customer.
Haven’t supplied your Collect my parcel number, or have entered it incorrectly?
You won’t receive a notification email when your parcel is ready for collection. You can still check the status of your parcel on our tracking tool, and it will still get to your Collect my parcel location.
If you forget to add the word 'COLLECTION', it will still get to your your Collect my parcel location, but it may take longer to arrive.
You will be emailed when your parcel is ready to collect, and your parcel must be collected within 10 days of receiving that email, otherwise, the parcel will be returned to the sender.
We’ll send you a reminder email when you have 2 days left to pick up your parcel.
You'll be sent an email when your parcel is ready for collection from your selected Collect my parcel location. You’ll have 10 days from the date of the email to pick it up.
This email will confirm the address and the opening hours of the Collect my parcel location. You can track your parcel's delivery status using our tracking tool.
When your parcel is ready to pick up from a Collect my parcel location, we will send a notification to the email we have stored on your NZ Post account. What you can do:
- Check your SPAM folder.
- Check the email address you have registered for your account.
- Track your parcel using our tracking tool.
- If it is ready to collect from your Collect my parcel location, the parcel status will say ‘Ready to collect’.
If you haven’t supplied your Collect my parcel number, or have entered it incorrectly, you won’t receive a notification email when your parcel is ready for collection.
Once the tracking tool shows your item is ready for collection, you can visit the location with photo identification to collect your item. Ensure your ID matches the name on the parcel.

You can have more than one Collect my parcel location. To add another address, sign into your NZ Post account and click ‘create another Collect my Parcel address’. When shopping online, enter your preferred Collect my Parcel location at the checkout.
To operate Collect my parcel, we share personal information with participating Collect my parcel providers, including participating Woolworths stores and NZ Post stores.
We ensure that any time we share personal information with participating Collect my parcel providers we do so securely and we take steps to ensure that all our service providers with whom we share personal information agree to protect the privacy and security of your personal information, destroy that data when it is no longer needed for the purposes for which it was supplied to them and use that data only for the purposes for which it is disclosed. From time to time, we may share your personal information in other circumstances where we are specifically allowed to under the Privacy Act 1993 (for example, in cases where the Police ask us for information to assist with its investigation of an alleged criminal offence).
