Choose picture perfect deliveries
If you’re not going to be home to receive your online shopping and want a bit more reassurance that your delivery is safe, select a photo on delivery (where available).
Alternatively, you can set up a Leave my parcel request to receive a photo of your online shopping deliveries that require a signature. Leave my parcel gives permission for your parcels to be left in your chosen safe spot when you’re not home at the time of delivery.
Easy to see, safe to use
Your safety matters to us. That's why only you and the sender will be able to access the photo of your delivered parcel - via your tracking link. Our photos are automatically blurred, using software which conceals label details and any other personal information.
You can also request to have the photo of your delivery removed from our tracking tools at any time through the NZ Post website or mobile app.
Frequently asked questions
Photos of Courier Photo Required and Courier Signature Required parcels (with a Leave my parcel authority) can be accessed via the NZ Post Tracking tool. Photos are not available for items sent on a Non-Signature or Non-Photo Required service.
No, photos can only be accessed using the NZ Post Tracking tool. NZ Post will not provide photos to anyone outside of the Tracking tool. Tracking numbers will only be provided to the sender and receiver.
If your parcel has been delivered, but the photo shows the wrong delivery location, or you have any other issues with your delivered parcel, please let us know. Fill out a Parcel Enquiry form, so we can sort this out.
Please don’t go looking for your item on nearby properties. This may be seen as trespassing, or may lead to confrontations. Please let us know, and we will organise for your parcel to be collected and redelivered to the correct address.
Photo on delivery is only available for Courier Photo Required, or for Courier Signature Required parcels where the Leave my parcel service has been used. In rural areas, we may also experience connectivity challenges and your photo can take a little extra time to get back to us. If that’s the case, we will tell you there’s a photo coming soon.
Photo removal requests - either for yourself or on behalf of someone else - can be made at any time by filling in a photo removal request form. This is sent to our Customer Advocacy team, who will be in touch soon to confirm the removal. If you are a business sender, you can fill out a photo removal request on behalf of your customer. Simply provide the receiver details, as well as your own, and the Customer Advocacy team will be in touch.
Couriers delivering parcels on a Photo Required service will capture a photo upon delivery of the item, which the sender and receiver can see using NZ Post tracking tools. On a Signature Required service, couriers will capture a photo on delivery where the receiver has set a one time or ongoing Leave my parcel (Authority to Leave) request.
